Volunteer Referral Service

Welcome to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Volunteer Centre. We are here to help you find a volunteer position(s) that will be interesting to you and will suit your skills and experience.

Those who choose to volunteer do so of their own free will, not expecting reward (except out of pocket expenses) and enjoy contributing to their community.

Potential volunteers fill in a form which gives the Volunteer Referral Officer an idea of what they may be interested in, how much time they would like to spend volunteering and their contact details. The Referral Officer gives the volunteer a list of all the positions available within the community that will suit their interest, skills and time available.

The volunteer then chooses those that most interest them, and the Referral Officer organises interview(s) for them to discuss the volunteer positions and have a look around the organization.

After a month or so, the Referral Officer phones the volunteer for some feedback to see how their referrals went, and whether they are still volunteering.

The Volunteer Centre also provides a regular newsletter and training relevant to volunteers.
